KZ Writes Good
The internet is a huge bathroom wall, and any halfwit with a keyboard and a connection has an opportunity to scrawl on it. Take me, for instance. My name is KZ. For a good time, come find me at Prosaic Shades of Gray.

Comments are Broken, and WordPress Sucks
WordPress 3.0 is giving me all kinds of trouble with the comments. Whenever I attempt to post a reply through the comment form, I’m taken to a blank error page. Not good. I may not be able to fix the problem before heading to sleep Thursday night, so I’ll probably have to leave the blog this way for a while until I can come back to it. I’m sorry if this bug has affected any of my readers.

Noooooooooooooooooo! This cannot be!
Have you tried answering from your dashboard as a work-around?
I actually traced the problem back to a plugin. I think it’s fixed now. Unfortunately, during the process of fixing the problem, I’ve accidentally wiped my comments clean. Thank God I archived all of the emails notifying me when somebody left a comment. For every comment that my WordPress blog ever received, I have an email that duplicates the full text of each message. I did lose all of my replies, however, but I consider that a small loss in comparison to what I could have lost. I’ll be manually re-entering those comments back onto my blog this weekend.
Ah, that's why I saw you up at 4:30am this morning. Well, the only haunt I want to do this weekend is Candlelighters. That will only take up like 1 hour. The rest of the weekend is yours. It's your "break weekend" so you better enjoy it. Next week is the haunt Sonoma.
We had some comment issues too, but Mike managed to fix it. Which is good 'cause I'm useless when it comes to the "back-end" stuff.
I wish I had a tech guy to fix all of my stupid mistakes. I got into this blogging thing because I'm a writer, not a programmer. :P
That's funny, I got in this blogging thing because I'm a programmer, not a writer.
Not entirely true, but I thought it would be fun to say it like that :D
Hehe, naysaying is always fun, isn't it?
If you have a DB backup hanging around somewhere you could use that to restore comments.
Wordpress is pretty stable, but there are some doubtful plugins out there.
If you have specific issues I know Wordpress quite well, drop me a line or ask me a question http://www.caperet.com/need-help-with-your-blog/.
Simon, thank you for your kind offer. Unfortunately, I was supremely stupid, and I did not back up my comments database. I ended up replenishing the comments the hard way.
I didnt know you had an active blog :(
Wish I did :)
hope you are going well, I miss you two!
Well, I do. I've told you about it before. Well anyway, you know about it now. Thanks for commenting, Angie.
