It always seemed to me that in a law school exam, you're given a hypothetical scenario, and you have to figure out as many ways as humanly possible that you could start a lawsuit based on that set of facts. I could only see 3 or 4 ways to sue somebody based on what I saw in the facts, while the A students could come up with 25 or 30 possible lawsuits. I always found it funny that they use that elegant phrase "issue spotting." "Practice for creating frivolous lawsuits" seems more accurate. I never figured out how to ace law school exams.
