The internet is a huge bathroom wall, and any halfwit with a keyboard and a connection has an opportunity to scrawl on it. Take me, for instance. My name is KZ. For a good time, come find me at Prosaic Shades of Gray.

I feel the exact same way with sketch books. The really nice, acid-free paper in the clean, nicely bound books seems like something for quality drawings, not something I am going to end up tearing out, wadding up, and tossing into a recycling bin. Besides, you can't tear paper out of a nice book very well and it would be a shame to have a book of only ten pages when it originally had a hundred. Give me a binder, a reem of printer paper, and a three-hole punch.

Writing is a way to express yourself. So choosing a binder can be like shopping for clothes. You pick clothes that are 'you' because they express who you are. And you pick binders to write in for the same reason. I'm more of a t-shirt and jeans person, which pisses people off at times. My grandmother asked me what I wanted for my bday dinner the other day. ANYTHING AT ALL she said. So I picked one of my favorite foods: tuna fish sandwich with chips. She wasn't too happy with that, so she made pot roast anyways (geez, why even ask me then :P) and sent me home with tuna fish. Damn me and my cheap tastes! lol

So true. You do only write in your spiral-bound notebook, and not all the nice ones people give you. Maybe you should write something witty in the nice ones and give them back to the people who gave them to you when their birthdays roll around.
