KZ Writes Good
The internet is a huge bathroom wall, and any halfwit with a keyboard and a connection has an opportunity to scrawl on it. Take me, for instance. My name is KZ. For a good time, come find me at Prosaic Shades of Gray.

Wow
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are pushing hard to make changes that really matter. Their latest successful effort: renaming food items on House cafeteria menus. French fries are now “freedom fries,” and French toast henceforth shall be known as “freedom toast.” The repercussions of this public snubbing will be felt for years to come. Good job, guys. You sure showed the French.
By the way, French fries originated in Belgium, you fucking geniuses.

Not to sound racist or anything, but I think the real reason you're upset is because they didn't name anything "freedom rice".
temper temper KZ, belgium fries?
don't u love how so many people in america could give a rat's ass about precise geography. "france, belgium, it's all the same shit." i think mamae is the most american out of anyone i know. she always says, "u know ur friend (KZ), the japanese one."
*Shameless Self-Promotion* I would like to refer you to my very own blog, and my own reaction to "fries of freedom" or "freedom fries." Though I admit, I really had no idea where French fries originated from. Then again, they do speak French in Belgium.
I swear, I was just about to post a link to that entry. You beat me to it though. It's a great read. Smile
Think about this, what sucks even worse is that the law itself sucks. Let me explain. The lawmaking system has become an almost useless practice now that takes years to get a bill passed, and the odds of one getting through to law status is like 1/1000 or more. Now think of all the useful bills that get filtered out due to the crappy system and the 1 bill out the thousand others happens to be the bill to change the names of food, nice luck huh?
